Business intelligence teams still spend most of their time traversing the cycle time from data to insights, based on looking at ready-to-use insights and making decisions out of that. However, most mature organizations are now envisioning a self-serve BI solution that is either fully or at least semi-automated. This is being enabled by advancements in tools and platforms, design thinking approach to BI, and automations that enable this.

High-quality BI-ready data that is powered by data engineering pipelines that are robust, strong KPIs that are insightful and intuitive deep dive metrics, next-gen visualization, storyboards, dashboard automations and scenario planners, and advanced features like forecasting, anomaly detection, and alert mechanisms.

Most clients have realized a 30 to 40 percent decrement in the cycle time from data to insights, and more importantly, decision-makers identify 10 to 12 percent more action areas and anomalies, leading to improved performance across marketing, sales, and operational metrics as well.
